MEC Lands 2015 Fleet Deal with NES Rentals

California based aerial manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms has signed a fleet supply agreement with NES Rentals. This is the first annual fleeting arrangement of MEC equipment by NES in the entities’ 5 year relationship, and marks a significant step forward for the two companies.  The deal equips NES with the newly developed MEC 60-J diesel boom and expands NES’s portfolio of MEC lifts including high performance Crossover scissors, Speed Level™ Sigma lifts, and MEC TITAN BOOM 60-S.

The most compelling inclusion of MEC into the NES fleet is the order of the new MEC 60-J Diesel Boom.  During development MEC surveyed the 60 Ft. boom market and discovered an opportunity to build a better solution that is full-featured, rugged, simple and reliable with an advantageous ROI.  The 60-J is offered as standard with 66-Ft working height and a 6 Ft. jib with 135° range of motion; full time 4 Wheel Drive with an interactive oscillating axle system and 45% gradeability; an 8 Ft. long 180° rotatable platform; 360° continuous turn table rotation; and fully proportional multi-function controls while still fitting 2 per truck for transport.  This deal brings NES first to market with this new boom, and is testament to the work done by the development team at MEC.

NES’s expanding portfolio includes 2659ERT and 3259ERT Crossover electric scissors, as well as MEC’s diesel powered 4069RT.  The Crossover is an electric 4WD RT scissor, lift heights of 26 and 32 Ft., and a convenient 59 inches wide chassis.  The Crossover is a strong performing machine for MEC that made its debut at ConExpo in 2011 and quickly earned the company a double digit market share in the mid-size rough terrain scissor lift class.  The 4069 rough terrain scissor is available in diesel or electric and features a best in class lift capacity of 900 lbs, 40% gradeability, and an industry leading entry height of only 51 inches.  Both the Crossover and 4069 machines include the patented side mounted sheet material rack.

Complementing the scissor lifts are MEC’s 3084RT Speed Level™ Sigma Lift and the Titan Booms.  The Speed Level offers a 1,500 lb lift capacity on a 14.5 Ft. long platform with unique leveling capabilities including the ability to drive while elevated on sloped surfaces.  The MEC Titan Booms are also unique with the capacity of a telehandler, the work area of an Ultra-Deck scissor lift and the reach and rotation of a boom.  This innovative machine’s capabilities are changing the way work is done in construction and industrial applications.

MEC Aerial Work Platforms strives to build better solutions for our customers and for the end users of our product.  The opportunities for innovation and increases in productivity and safety while working at height continue to inspire new designs and challenge our engineers to meet the ever increasing expectations and demand of the 21st century rental industry.  The 2015 Fleet Order by NES is a reflection of the successful products MEC Aerial Work Platforms has developed and launched, and more importantly, is an indication of the growing confidence the industry is placing in the MEC brand going forward.
