Merlo presents the first two modular ranges for the building/construction industry

Compact range

Merlo will unveil at Intermat the new range of compact telehandlers P 33.7 and P 30.9 which will go into production in the fourth quarter of 2015.

The new range stems from the new concept of modular telehandler and thus introduces, also in this range, the performance advantages already introduced in agriculture with the new Turbofarmer range.

The two new models will therefore have the new modular cab, the largest in the category, thus effectively creating a new standard in terms of comfort and ergonomics for this category.

With the P 33.7 and the P 30.9 also the engine changes, from a 100 Hp 3 to two versions available, a 75 Hp and a 120 Hp engine, both Euro 3B.

The new models also ensure superior performance compared to the previous range; the P33.7 increases the maximum load by 100 kg (from 3200 to 3300 kg) with a maximum lifting height of 7 metres (compared to the 6 of the P 32.6). The P 30.9, on the other hand, increases the maximum load by 200 kg compared to the P28.8 (from 2800 to 3000 kg) and the maximum height by 1 metre (from 8 to 9 metres).

The two modular compacts will also feature as standard the innovative patented Merlo EPD (EcoPowerDrive) system, able to reduce consumption (and therefore also CO2 emissions) by 18%.

The new models also have as standard the Fan Drive system for correct and better cleaning of the radiator filter, even in very dusty conditions such as construction sites or quarries.

The P 33.7 and the P 30.9 will also be available in the L (LOW PROFILE) version with a height of only 2 metres while maintaining the same cab as the standard models. In fact, thanks to Merlo's continuous commitment in research and development, the L models have been completely redesigned in order to lower the position of the cab and ensure the same comfort as the higher ranges (only models on the market). This compact range will maintain the maximum speed of 40 km/h, the only vehicles to do so in this segment.

New Panoramic Medium Duty range

Merlo will also present at Intermat the new range of compact models derived from the P 34.7: the P 35.7 and the P 33.9.

Also these two models are based on the innovative modular concept and ensure features that substantially improve the characteristics of the range.

Operating comfort is greatly improved, the P 35.7 and the P 33.9 will in fact have the new modular cab, the largest in the category, effectively creating a new standard in terms of comfort and ergonomics for this category. Also available will be the CS cab suspension (the only model in the category with this patented Merlo technology) that considerably improves operating comfort while increasing productivity. The two models have been designed to offer more solutions than the previous model in terms of load (the P35.7 provides an increase from 3400 to 3500 kg) and maximum lifting height (the P33.9 provides an increase from 7 to 9 metres).

Thanks to the modular concept, the new family boasts much more compact dimensions than its predecessor, with maximum height decreasing from 2.45 m to 2.25 m. The new architecture has also allowed the weight of the machine to be reduced by 1,000 kg, from 7,600 to 6,600 kg, thus ensuring greater manoeuvrability and a significant reduction in fuel consumption.

The reduction in fuel consumption will also be ensured by the new EPD system, provided as standard equipment also in this new range, reducing consumption (and therefore CO2 emissions) by 18%.

The new models also have as standard the Fan Drive system for correct and better cleaning of the radiator filter, even in very dusty conditions such as construction sites or quarries.

All models in the range will have a road speed of 40 km/h, the highest in the category, with axles with Merlo planetary reducers providing even greater robustness than the previous versions and making the vehicles more compact.
