The R50.35 S-Plus model has a maximum load capacity of 11,000 lbs., a lift height of 115’, and a reach of 83’5”. Its 360-degree rotating turret, with a 20° tilt cab, supplies uninterrupted views and machine operation (without machine repositioning). An operator can adjust the cab up to 20 degrees, with just one button, for continuous visual contact with the boom and its load. Within its compact footprint are independent, multi-positional stabilizers, designed for rapid and safe deployment, that easily adjust to suit a site’s topography.

Power is provided by the 170 HP Iveco engine.  The 2-speed hydrostatic transmission guarantees maximum movement precision. 4 Wheel Drive with three steering modes rounds out the travel versatility of this nimble machine. The Eco Power Drive (EPD) feature reduces fuel usage.

Standard features include frame leveling (with or without stabilizer deployment); a calibrated hydraulic system with dual displacement pumps; a Tac-Lock quick attachment program; pre- arrangement for work platforms and remote control; and Merlo’s MCDC (Merlo Dynamic Load Control) system.

The MCDC system collects machine parameters to create real-time load and operational diagrams. Displayed on highly visible LCDs, this information guides the operator in safe and efficient machine operation. The no flex boom expands the R50.35 SPLUS attachment versatility beyond forks to include buckets, jibs, hooks, winches, tree care implements, and many others.

The structurally reinforced SPLUS cabs are engineered with optimal features for operator comfort and productivity. Operators can expect a wide door opening into a spacious cab with AC/heat, and ergonomic seating,

Easy to operate, the R50.35 SPLUS Roto has two horizontal multifunctional, capacitive joysticks. Sensors automatically detect the presence of the operator’s hand. The very accessible dashboard, with intuitive controls, enhances the ease of use. The ‘Smart Armrest’ is made with reactive soft touch materials.

Plus, the R50.35 SPLUS is structured with active suspension for a safe, more comfortable ride. For added safety, the platform and chassis are surrounded by Merlo’s patented “3” ring of steel”. Other standard features include, lights, front and back; cameras, on the boom and back of the cab;  FOPS and ROPS protective roof grid; wipers, front, rear and roof; and an expanded exterior access to the platform and turret with well positioned steps on both sides of the chassis.

The Roto 50.35 SPLUS delivers a complete package of operator comfort and efficiency, machine versatility, and technologies designed to ensure greater safety and improved performance. These Rotos fit well with the construction and tree care sectors. See the full line of Merlo telehandlers at ams-merlo.com.
