Merlo’s expansive range of telehandlers includes the P50.18PLUS, which brings powerful stability to the construction market.  This high capacity telehandler, with a load capacity of 11,000 lbs., has a lift height of 59’, a reach of 44’, and the added benefit of independent, front axle mounted stabilizers.

Merlo telehandlers are known for their compact footprint and the P50.18PLUS is no exception (20’4” x 8’1” x 8’3”) even with stabilizers deployed.  Lighter in mass than similar machines (unladed weight is 29,300 lbs.) the P50.18PLUS is equipped with high ground clearance, a 102HP Deutz 3.6 engine, and hydrostatic transmission. Travel speed is 25mph.

Not just a forklift

Merlo’s no flex boom, combined with the Tac-lock system -- for quick, from-the-cab attachment change out -- means this telehandler will easily accept, and quickly deploy, a number of attachments, such as buckets (up to 3.2 cu/yd) jibs, winches, clamps, and hooks.

Add in the stabilizers to achieve even more on every job.

Stabilizers optimize functionality

The front axle mounted stabilizers are designed to be independent of each other, and stay within the machines silhouette all the time.  When the stabilizers are fully engaged, the P50.18PLUS can safely lift and place more weight than machines without.  On uneven ground, the independent stabilizers, with their supporting feet, guarantee excellent ground anchoring for higher stability. When not deployed, the stabilizers retract close to the front axle for unimpeded maneuverability during travel.  Boom side-shift and frame leveling are standard and can be engaged with, or without, stabilizers in use.

The cab for the operator efficiency

The FOPS and ROPS certified cab of the P50.18PLUS is designed for operator comfort and efficiency. It boasts over 46 square feet of glass. This expansive view ensures an operator has the load and machine surroundings in sight at all times. The wide, split door gives easy access to the operator’s command center: Ergonomic seating; electromechanical joystick; automotive feel dashboard with easy access controls. Machine shuttle is located on the joystick and the steering column. The cab’s HEPA filtration is placed on the side of the chassis, ensuring continuous clean air. Plus, this cab has AC/heat.  Boom side shift, frame leveling, and stabilizer deployment are only a button away from the joystick, ensuring seamless operator control.

Load control and safety

The P50.18PLUS is equipped with Merlo’s MCDC operational safety software program.  In real time, Merlo’s MCDC recognizes attachments and monitors boom extension, angle, load weight, and machine management functions. All machine functionality is  clearly visible on the10” LCD.  Operational options are available to meet specific job requirements.

Compact and powerful, the Merlo P50.18PLUS guarantees performance, greater reliability, and better safety features on every job.
