25, 61 and 65: What sounds at first like this week’s winning numbers in the lotto, is in fact the sum total of guest events that are taking place this year in the Messe München Locations – 25 events in the halls of the Messe München exhibition center and in the Conference Center Nord, 61 in the ICM – Internationales Congress Center München and a total of 65 in the MOC Veranstaltungscenter München (status: April 2019).
Again in 2019, there will be a significant contingent of congresses, AGMs and many guest events, despite the high number of own events in the halls of the Messe München exhibition center. These events are an important economic factor for the company and for the location of Munich.
Merry month of May at the exhibition center
In mid May the halls at the Messe München exhibition center will be bustling when two events take place almost in parallel: These are:FESPA Global Print Expo, from May 14 to 17 in six halls, and The smarter E Europe, from May 15to 17, in a total of 10 halls. FESPA Global Print Expo is Europe’s biggest international trade fair for professional wide-format printing. More than 700 exhibitors will be presenting their latest innovations here and new products in digital and screen-pri nting for graphics, signage, stage sets and industrial and textile applications – to an audience of over 20,000 visitors. The smarter E Europe combines no less than four specialist trade fairs under one roof. These are: Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry; ees Europe, Europe’s largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy-storage systems; Power2Drive Europe, the internationalexhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility; and EM-Power, the exhibition for intelligent energy use in industry and buildings. As well as the trade fairs themselves, The smarter E Europe also offers conferences, forums, workshops and other events on visions and promising concepts for the future in the area of modern energy forms.
The platform for AGMs
From April to June the ICM will again be a popular venue for many annual general meetings. On April 30, the Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft, a long-term customer, will be convening with around 3,500 shareholders in the ICM. The AGMs of Wacker Chemie AG, on May 23, and ofBayWa AG, on May 28, have also been regular customers for many years. New this year is the AGM of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE on June 12, and of Knorr-Bremse AG, on June 18.
A premiere and familiar names
In the MOC Veranstaltungscenter, too, there is a succession of events. Stampin’ Upwill be celebrating its premiere in the MOC on April 12 and 13. This two-day employee event brings together sales managers from across the company. As wellas the presentation of new products in stamping, ink and paper, including coordinated accessories, working materials and project sets, the event is also an occasion to honor particularly successful employees.Another highlight in the first half of the year comes between May 9 and 12 – and it’s already fully booked: HIGH END, the trade fair that quite literally sets the right tone. For some this event is pure audiophile inspiration, for others it’s a specialist trade fair and business platform. But both groups are catered for at High End.Another customer who has been with us for many years is Cosmetic Business. This meeting place for the cosmetics and suppliers’ industry in Germany will be hosted again at the MOC, on June 5 and 6. At this sector event participants can find all that is important for the creation of new cosmetics products and their successful presentation – from raw materials to production and packaging.
