Metso to deliver key processing equipment for the Yitirrti copper-zinc-silver project in Western Australia

• Metso has been contracted by GR Engineering Services to supply key processing technology for Develop Global's Yitirrti copper-zinc-silver project in Western Australia.

• The Yitirrti project is a high-grade deposit in the Pilbara region with a processing plant capacity of approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum, currently advancing toward pre-production.

• Metso's delivery includes design, manufacture, testing, and supply of equipment such as Nordberg® C Series™ jaw crusher, HP450e™ cone crushers, apron feeder, TankCell® flotation cells, thickeners, SMD regrind mills, and slurry analyzers.

• Proximity through Metso's Karratha Service Centre ensures strong local support, complementing their integrated technology offering for efficient and sustainable mineral processing.

Metso has been awarded orders by GR Engineering Services (GRES) to deliver key minerals processing technology for Develop Global’s Yitirrti (formerly called Sulphur Springs) copper-zinc-silver project in Western Australia. The value of the order, which is not disclosed, has been booked in the Minerals segment’s 2026 second-quarter orders received.

The Yitirrti project is a high-grade copper-zinc-silver deposit located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The processing plant has a capacity of approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum and is progressing toward pre-production.

Metso’s scope of delivery covers the design, manufacture, testing, and delivery of process technology for the concentrator supporting copper and zinc processing. The equipment package consists of Metso’s Nordberg® C Series™ jaw crusher and Nordberg® HP450e™ cone crushers, an apron feeder as well as TankCell® flotation cells, thickeners, Stirred Media Detritor (SMD) regrind mills and slurry analyzers.
