ABOUT IPAF

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the widest sense -- through providing technical advice and information, through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, through its safety initiatives and training programmes. It is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members who include manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and users.
 

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR!

1) IPAF Pavilion at OS+H Asia 2014 The 9th Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition for Asia
Where: Suntec Convention Centre Hall 402
When: 7th May to 9th May 2014, 10am to 6pm daily.
What: The IPAF Pavilion features members showing the latest MEWPs and the International recognized and MOM ATP approved IPAF Training programme for MEWPs operator. Visitors are free to tap on their expertise regarding IPAF operator training, selecting the right type of equipment, whether new or used, for work at height.
 
The show that brings the MEWP industry of Asia together.
 
2) IPAF Asia Conference 2014
Where: Suntec Convention Centre, Room 324
When: 9th May 2014, 9am to 4pm
What: The full-day IPAF Asia Conference 2014 features international industry speakers
who will speak on a good mix of MEWPs safety and regional developments.
 
MEWPs Safety professionals will address on MEWP Safety, Standards and Good Practice: Relevant for the Real World, while MEWPs industry players will share on the MEWPs market situation in their respective countries.
 
Confirmed speakers include Alex Tan, general manager with a Malaysian rental company, Tim Du, Owner of a Chinese rental Company in Tianjin, China, Sarjit Singh, safety consultant, Chris Wraith, Technical Officer of International Powered Access Federation
 
The conference is aimed at safety professionals who wish to hear from professionals and Ministry on how relevant standards and good practice is, to their work place.
 
Rental Companies and manufactures who want to understand how the regional countries like Malaysia, Thailand and China are progressing with work at height regulations, MEWPs usage and market situation.
 
Safety authorities in the region are expected to attend, including officers from Malaysia’s Department of Occupational Safety & Health, Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower, and Building & Construction Authority.
 
3) Networking Session
Where: Suntec Convention Centre, Visitors Lounge at Hall 402
When: 9th May 2014, 4:15pm to 6pm
What: (Strictly for Visitors who registered to attend this networking session only)
 
You are invited to join in the IPAF networking session on 9th May from 4:30pm to 6pm, where refreshments and light snacks will be served. All stakeholders of MEWPs industry and safety professionals gather to network at a more causal environment. This is a great time where you can talk and exchange name cards with speakers and visitors of IPAF Asia conference. This is one of the most important networking session you need to be in if you are talking about South East Asia MEWPs industry. Have not seen any Asia networking session of this scale for the MEWP industry.
 
Registration is done together with the registration of the IPAF Asia Conference 2014 form.
 

WHY ATTEND

This is the 3rd run of IPAF Asia Conference Last conference was held on 2 August 2013 at the Singapore Expo was a resounding success, drawing in more than 140 participants from 14 countries. Participants were treated to an excellent panel of speakers, who provided moments of light-hearted entertainment as well as key take-home messages with insights on how to keep the powered access industry safe and productive.
 
This year, we are aiming for a wider regional and numbers bringing international networking of MEWPs industry to your door step; Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines and India.
 
If you are looking for contacts on new equipment, used equipment, rental, selling of spare parts, accessories, dealerships in Asia, becoming a distributor, setting up a MEWP training centre, becoming an IPAF instructor, getting MEWP safety information, understanding the MEWP business, networking in the MEWP industry, YOU SHOULD BE THERE! This is the only show in Asia that garners MEWP players within South East Asia and beyond. This is also the region where the number of MEWPs is increasing each year!

The conference starts registration at 8:30am and officially starts at 9:00am, include a tea break & a lunch and ends at 4:00pm
 
There will be an IPAF networking session on 9th May from 4:30pm to 6pm, where refreshments and light snacks will be served. This is strictly for registered participants only. Registration based on first come first serves only. Interest parties for the networking session must indicate on their conference registration form on their attendance.
Above fee includes 7% GST.
 
Fees include: Conference Entry Pass, 1 Standing coffee break, 1 Standing Buffet Lunch, *(1 Networking Session Entry Pass With Refreshments).
 
*The Networking session is based on first come first serve basis. Do indicate if you would like to attend the networking session on the registration form.
