New 50/80 point for excellent straw mixing

The new 50/80 point combines the advantages of the 50 mm and the 80 mm point. A great penetration ability, low draught requirement and impressive straw mixing is some of its main benefits in the field.

- The aggressive soil searching capability of the 50 mm point in addition to its low draft requirement, together with the broader top part of the 80 mm point results in an increased straw mixing, says Magnus Samuelsson, concept developer at Väderstad.

During the previous year, the 50/80 point has been tested on seven Swift and one Opus cultivator. After a total trial area of 2 235 hectares, the final results are very impressive.

- The 50/80 mm point fits all of our cultivators and is particularly effective when used with Swift. In addition to the fact that the combined point works longer than a regular 50 mm point, it is also very easy to mount.

Together with the Väderstad 80 mm MixIn shin, the material flow and straw mixing performance is optimised, says Magnus Samuelsson.

Väderstad’s wearing parts are manufactured at Svensk Presshärdning AB, which has been part of the Väderstad Group since 2011. The new 50/80 point can be factory fitted to Swift cultivators today, and to all other Väderstad cultivators from this October.
