Vicon presents its new patented AFC system for RV 5000 series variable chamber balers, designed and developed to increase baler productivity as well as operator comfort.
Auto Feed Control: More productivity – More comfort – Reduced fuel consumption
Vicon is investing heavily developing new solutions to enhance the productivity of the round baling process, with a particular focus on operator comfort. The new AFC system is an integral part of this continued research.
During normal baler operation in many field conditions, the tractor driver has to weave from left to right during the bale formation process in order to have correct bale chamber filling and a consequent good bale shape. Therefore he has to pay attention to the baler behind as well as to the swath in front.
Now, with the new patented Auto Feed Control system these operations become redundant as, during the bale formation phase, chamber filling indicators are interacting with the Auto Feed Control system and the baler will shift its position to the right or left hand side to ensure an ideal chamber filling pattern.
The Auto Feed Control system takes a lot of stress away from the operator who is now only focused on keeping an optimum cruising speed, while just driving over the centre of the windrow. Improved comfort for the driver will also mean increased operating safety.
These benefits result in significantly higher productivity and the production of perfectly shaped, dense bales for optimal wrapping and/or stacking.
Last but not least, fuel consumption will also be significantly reduced.
