Power to the new three-model MT700E Series comes from the very latest, AGCO POWER™ seven cylinder engines, which are designed and built specifically for agricultural applications. This highly efficient engine delivers more power and cuts fuel consumption up to 5 per cent, compared with previous engines, while also complying with the Stage IV / Tier 4 final emission standards.

Challenger MT700E features:

  • Latest seven cylinder, 9.8 L AGCO POWER™ engine Stage IV/Tier 4 Final
  • Increased fuel tank capacity
  • New engine hood and radiator design to improve cooling and simplify cleaning
  • Optional high flow hydraulic pump with 321.8 litres/min capacity
  • Improved operator comfort
  • Exclusive new undercarriage options for the Mobil-Trac™ system

Latest seven cylinder, 9.8 L AGCO POWER™ engine

The MT700E Series is the first tracked tractor in the industry to use the exclusively-developed AGCO POWER™ 9.8 litre, seven in-line cylinder engine. Developed and built at AGCO`s well-established facility in Nokia, Finland, the new engine uses a combination of SCR and cEGR (Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation) to meet stringent Stage IV/Tier 4 Final engine emission regulations without the need for a Diesel Particulate Filter.

Electronically actuated, and working in a similar fashion to current Exhaust Gas Recirculation systems, cEGR differs in that engine exhaust gases are cooled before being mixed with air from the main intercooler.

EPA regulations stipulate the components used in Exhaust After Treatment must last for at least 3,000 hours or five years, whichever comes first.

The new AGCO POWER™ seven in-line cylinder, 9.8 litre engine almost triples the requirements, the manufacturer confidently predicting an EAT component life of 8,000 hours.

Increased fuel capacity

The fuel tank capacity on Challenger MT700E Series models has been increased by 47 per cent to 773 litres. Combined with the fuel-saving nature of the new engine, this allows operators to spend more time in the field between refills for even higher levels of productivity.

New engine hood and radiator design to improve cooling and simplify cleaning

Helping to give the Challenger MT700E a more aggressive look, underneath the newly-designed bonnet is an equally new engine cooling package.

Unlike the three banks of radiators used on the previous MT700D, the MT700E benefits from a new two-stage design. In addition to improved air-flow and cooling, the compact space saving format tilts open for easier access and cleaning.

Optional high flow hydraulic pump

The standard 224 litres/min oil flow from the current range has been retained, but all MT700E Series tracked tractors are available with an optional 321.8 litres/min system.

The increased oil flow leads to faster operation when working with wide hydraulically-operated implements.

Improved operator comfort

In addition to a smoother shifting transmission, Challenger is also introducing other refinements on the MT700E Series to further improve operator comfort, boost performance and increase durability to match the new power ratings.

The MT755E and the MT765E are fitted with the Air Ride Seat, but the Deluxe VRS seat with fabric cover (leather optional) from the current top model is standard on the MT775E.

The top model now features the well-known Nightbreaker™ lights as standard. Using very little electricity, they provide unrivalled levels of lighting, for less operator fatigue.

In addition, all three tracked tractors can be specified with the Deluxe VRS vented leather seat. This luxurious option features an in-built heating and cooling system to take operator comfort to a higher level.

Auto-Guide 3000™ is a new, integrated and affordable system, which is designed to provide farming professionals with the highest levels of accuracy. This latest generation provides easy to use, ‘plug and play’ operation and is fully scalable from sub-metre to centimetre accuracy.

The new guidance option operates directly from the 7.4 inch Tractor Management Centre Display, eliminating the need for an additional screen. It is also possible to engage guidance through the One-Touch™ headland management system.

Exclusive new undercarriage options for the Mobil-Trac™ system

Challenger is still the first and only tractor designed specifically for use on rubber tracks and the new MT700E Series continues to offer the unique Mobil-Trac™ system benefits of unrivalled traction with low compaction.

In addition to the widest offer of belt and rolling gears in the industry the new MT700E introduces the exclusive 34 inch (864mm) General Ag and Extreme Ag belts. To provide ultimate traction the MT700E is now available with optional track frame weights to maintain the weight to power ratio to the optimum, reducing soil compaction and protecting crops.

Driven by customer feedback, the new three model MT700E Series represents the next step in tractor performance evolution and goes into production next spring with first deliveries expected in Europe by summer 2014.
