New Contract for Liebherr on the A 350 XWB Program

Liebherr-Aerospace has recently been selected by Airbus to supply additional flap system components on the Airbus A 350 XWB-800/-900. Liebherr’s scope of supply on the A 350 XWB -800/-900 XWB, which already included the slat system, is expanded to the moving damper and to the load sensing drive strut.

The moving damper is a hydraulic component and the load sensing drive strut is an electro-mechanical component. Both link the flap flying surface to the flap actuation system.

This expansion of Liebherr’s scope of supply on the A 350 XWB-800/-900 further reinforces the strong relationship that has been built between Airbus and Liebherr for decades on all the Airbus programs.
