New GreenDrill for Cirrus 03

The pneumatic GreenDrill catch crop seeder box, known from the soil tillage range, is now also available for the trailed Cirrus 03 seed drill combinations.

This additional seeding system mounted on to the Cirrus makes it possible during the seeding operation to apply another medium, such as the under-sowing of an alternative crop, or the distribution of slug pellets onto the soil surface.

The seed hopper, which is safely accessed via the loading board, has a capacity of 500 l. Below this hopper is fitted a metering unit with an electrically-driven seed shaft which can be equipped, depending on the seed type and application rates, with normal or fine seed wheels. 8 seed tubes in total deliver the seed to the baffle plates attached directly in front of the following harrow. For the seed delivery, the GreenDrill 500 makes direct use of the blower fan on the Cirrus. The metering is carried out independent to the forward speed and is controlled via the GreenDrill 5.2 in-cab terminal. This offers the user an additional help menu when calibrating the catch crop seeder box. For even more comfort during calibration, an optional calibration button can be attached outside the GreenDrill, saving the user having to climb up and down from the tractor.
