New Hitachi ZX210LC-6 delivers high performance without compromising on efficiency

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) has launched the ZX210LC-6 medium excavator. Designed and engineered to meet the demands of general construction companies and contractors, it offers the highest level of performance, without compromising on the increasing demand for operational efficiency.

The new model incorporates unique Hitachi technology developed specifically for the Zaxis-6 medium excavator range. It is built using high-quality and durable components that contribute to its exceptional reliability. With incredibly versatile features, it is suitable for a wide range of industry solutions.

The ZX210LC-6 is equipped with Hitachi’s unique TRIAS II hydraulic system that reduces the amount of hydraulic oil returned to the tank due to the cooperative control of the pump and valve. This results in an 8% fuel saving in ECO mode (6% in PWR mode), with the same levels of productivity.

Another example of advanced technology is an after-treatment device that results in fewer emissions, ensuring compliance with EU Stage IV regulations. Noise levels are also reduced by the device, which consists of a DOC (diesel oxidation catalyst), urea mixing pipe, SCR (selective catalytic reduction) system and silencer. The SCR system injects urea into exhaust gas to reduce nitrous oxide.

The new Zaxis-6 medium excavator incorporates high-quality components such as the in-cab console, which is made of highly durable AES-grade resin that resists damage from UV rays. The risk of oil leakage is reduced by a durable connection on the hydraulic return pipes, and O-rings on the control valve and swing motor that are made from fluorine. This material withstands high oil temperatures, reinforcing the reliability of these components.

The durability of the ZX210LC-6 is enhanced by the redesigned lower roller. This prevents mud from entering and causing damage to the oil seal. Covers on the platform walkway have also been reinforced, which contributes to the machine’s safe working environment. These are just a few examples of more than 200 redesigned features and improved components incorporated within the Zaxis-6 range.

Demonstrating the new model’s versatility, the tilting rotator and tilting bucket modes are included within its attachment support system. These and nine other modes can be registered on the monitor for easy fitting of attachments. Two extra spools in the control valve make it easier to install attachments that require multiple, large volumes of oil and on two-piece boom models.

“The ZX210LC-6 is a popular choice for a wide range of construction applications,” says Burkhard Janssen, General Manager Product Management & Engineering at HCME. “It has been developed to perfection, using market-leading technology, to deliver exceptional productivity at the lowest possible cost of ownership.”
