-Corresponding to the latest emission regulations in the European and North American markets-
Kobelco Cranes Co., Ltd. announces the launch of the new Mark 2 CKE-G, BME-G and CK-G series which comply with the latest emission regulations.
The product line-up is six models from the CKE-G & the BME-G series and four models from the CK-G series. The lifting capacities of these models range from 80 to 250 metric tons for the European market and 85 to 275 U.S. tons for the North American market.
Concept and Features
Continuing the excellent concept and features of the G-series as it takes over from the first generation, the Mark 2 G-series machines have been improved to be more environmentally-friendly and easy-to-operate
• New Clean Diesel System Engine
The new models are equipped with engines that are compatible with EU Stage IV and US EPA Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. The new clean diesel system engine utilizes a DPF to reduce particulate matter and an SCR to reduce nitrogen oxide.
• Improvement of energy-saving function “G-mode”
We improved the usability of the energy saving assist system G-mode* which is adopted on all CKE-G, BME-G and CK-G series models.
As an example, for the idling stop function, under certain conditions, the AIS can be activated by the operator. With the increase in the opportunities to use the idling stop function, further energy-saving effects can be expected.
*G-mode is a generic name for the assist system including the auto idle stop, energy saving winch control and engine rpm limitation functions.
• Improvement of Lifting Capacity of CKE1350G-2
The maximum lifting capacity of the CKE1350G-2 has been improved from 135 metric tons x 4.5 meters to 150 metric tons x 4.4 meters.
• Improvement of transportability and assembly
As with previous models, the dimensions and weights of the main machines and all attachments are less than 2.99m width and 45 ton metric tons. In addition, we made further refinements to auxiliary platforms and boom insert handling, aimed at improving the speed and safety of the assembly and disassembly of these items.
