The versatile Primera DMC large area seed drill is the consequential result after considering the demands and desires from practitioners. The machine is superbly suited for any arable farming system, no matter whether conventional, mulch or direct sowing.
The Primera DMC 6000, with its effective working width of 6 m, features a new 4,200 l seed tank which can be expanded up to maximum of 5,800 l with the aid of extensions. This tank can be divided by using a partition into a double tank for seed and fertiliser in a ratio of 3:1. In this way, besides using the drill for pure seed application, also seed and fertiliser or two different seeds can be applied via the Single-Shoot system. The loading platform of the Primera DMC 6000 has been combined with a modern and lightweight aluminium ladder which offers stable accessibility. This results in a significant safety advantage for the operator.
Of course, the DMC 6000 continues to be available with the proven AMAZONE chisel opener at a row spacing of 18.75 cm. In conjunction with the Revomat overload safety device, the suspension and guidance of every individual opener in the parallelogram is carried out with the highest precision and consistency and when sowing any type of crop from mustard and rape via grain to sunflowers and field beans. The DURA chisel on-grip tip reliably penetrates the soil. The double hard-faced coating on the chisel tip increases the service life of the openers, especially on soils with a high sand content. Via the standard equipment of Reflex discs, the openers are precisely guided at the correct depth. In addition, the discs deflect the earth flow directly back into the seed furrow, resulting in the possibility to sow quickly at speeds of up to 18 km/h.
The machine is specified with a plastic-housed blower fan which lowers the noise level and, with immediate effect, the Primera DMC 6000 is available, from choice, with a direct drive of the blower fan from the tractor or with an on-board hydraulic system. The direct drive via a spool valve and a pressure-free return flow from the tractor is comfortable as the speed of the blower fan can be adjusted directly in the cab. The drive via an external hydraulic pump, which is fitted to the universal joint shaft, offers higher flexibility and allows the Primera DMC 6000 to be operated even on older tractors that don’t have a hydraulic pump with sufficient oil capacity.
The hydraulic track markers can be ordered as option for the Primera DMC 6000. This results in a significant cost advantage when purchasing the drill for farms which run modern, satellite-assisted steering aid systems and who therefore do not need track markers.
As an additional interesting option, the Primera DMC 6000 can be equipped with a hydraulically-driven filling auger allowing, on the dual hopper version, to fill both sides with seed or fertiliser within eight minutes.
