New rigid 6 m ED 6000 Special precision air seeder

In 2017 AMAZONE introduces a new model of the ED precision seeder and now offers, in addition to the folding machines and the rigid ED 3000 and 4500, a rigid ED 6000. From choice, the precision air seeder can be supplied with or without the 1,100 l fertiliser tank. The seed hoppers have a capacity of 60 l each and the sowing units can be fitted with either the Classic coulters for sowing after the plough or the mulch- sowing capable Contour coulters. Fertiliser placement can be carried out via either trailing ‘suffolk’ coulters or single disc openers that are again suitable for mulch sowing.

As the machine has been designed specifically for simple and older tractors, the demands on the tractor’s hydraulics and electrics are very low. On the ED 6000, the blower fan, for example, is driven via the PTO shaft. The singling drive and the fertiliser metering are carried out mechanically via a ground wheel. For monitoring the singling process, and as a hectare counter, AMASCAN + is utilised. AMAZONE supplies the ED 6000 Special as an eight row machine with fertiliser hopper for under root fertilisation. For sowing sugar beet, rape or soya, AMAZONE equips the ED 6000 with 12 sowing units. The precision air seeder can be optionally ordered with two micro-granular applicators with a hopper size of 110 l. The Micro plus applicators can be used to apply a starter fertiliser on or in every individual row.
