  • DOLL Fahrzeugbau launches the DOLL NEXT low-loader semi-trailer series with modernized production and a new plant in Hungary.

  • The trailers feature modular design allowing flexible customer configurations despite series production.

  • Key technical highlights include a weight-optimized steel frame, the ‘DOLL tera’ pendulum axle for low loading height and high maneuverability, and advanced digital assistance systems with remote control.

  • Durability is ensured through corrosion protection and a Europe-wide service network with over 130 partners supporting maintenance and repairs.

With DOLL NEXT, DOLL Fahrzeugbau presents the next generation of its low-loader semi-trailers. The vehicle series meets the increasing demands for payload, versatility and digital control in heavy-duty transport. Robust pendulum axle technology, intelligent assistance systems and modern manufacturing form the basis of a modular and customer-oriented series concept. Before delivery, the trailers can be precisely adapted to specific customer requirements using numerous additional options. This results in technically sophisticated, economically convincing solutions that are also quickly available.

‘DOLL NEXT is the result of a fundamentally modernised production process geared towards the requirements of modern heavy-duty logistics,’ says Markus Erdrich, Sales Manager at DOLL Fahrzeugbau. ‘The overall concept, combining our manufacturing quality, robust axle technology, digital control and high cost-effectiveness, is unique in the industry.’ The new trailer series is being produced in a comprehensively modernised manufacturing process that strategically complements the existing production network. ‘In order to reliably meet the growing demand for high-performance heavy-duty vehicles, we have built a new plant in Hungary,’ emphasises Erdrich. The highly specialised production lines are equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology. ‘The location in the heart of Europe also helps us to make our supply chains more efficient,’ Erdrich continues.

Despite series production, configuration remains in the hands of the customer: loading area widths, floors and side walls can be flexibly combined. Intelligent series production combined with individual options is a central component of DOLL´s growth strategy. ‘DOLL NEXT shows that it is possible to build close to the customer even in series production,’ says Erdrich. ‘In addition, DOLL continues to manufacture individual vehicles for customers who require tailor-made solutions.’

Precision in detail: robust construction, precise control, easy maintenance

The backbone of the DOLL NEXT low loaders is a weight-optimised steel frame designed for maximum payload. The standard ‘DOLL tera’ pendulum axle enables a low loading height of only 300 millimetres and offers particular advantages on uneven terrain thanks to its high axle lift. The chassis lift of up to 600 millimetres helps the driver to compensate for differences in height and raise the loading area. At the same time, the swing axle keeps the vehicle level even on challenging terrain. A steering angle of up to 60 degrees makes it easier to manoeuvre in confined spaces.

DOLL assistance systems: smart control, even via remote control

Also included as standard with DOLL NEXT: the DOLL tronic digital assistance system. This allows the driver to access all central functions of the trailer via a keypad on the gooseneck. The DOLL control equipment variant replaces the keypad with a 7-inch colour display and shows tyre pressure, weight distribution, load positioning and the position of the pressure cylinders at a glance. All DOLL control functions can also be controlled via the DOLL connect radio remote control. This allows the driver to intervene in the steering of the trailer from the cab, adjust the driving height or select previously set driving levels. After manual steering, a push of a button is all it takes for the automatic track adjustment system (EEP) to automatically calculate the optimum steering angle. The trailer reliably returns to its lane even when cornering slowly.

Durability as standard – supported by Europe-wide service

Not only the pendulum axle, but also the steel frame of the NEXT semi-trailer is designed for durability. Spray galvanisation of the entire steel structure provides effective protection against corrosion, while powder-coated, hot-dip galvanised and stainless steel components further increase durability. In addition, customers benefit from the special vehicle manufacturer´s Europe-wide service. With more than 130 service partners, DOLL offers support throughout the entire vehicle life cycle – from repairs and maintenance to spare parts and technical support.

The DOLL NEXT low-bed trailers are available to order now and are available in either a 2-axle or 3-axle version.
