New tandem three-way tipper presented for the first time at BAUMA 2019

Trade fair première at Fliegl: The newly developed tandem three-way tipper of type TSK 119 is being presented for the first time at an international trade fair. The tipper trailer will be on display in the outdoor area at Booth FN 721/9.

New: The TSK 119 has been completely redesigned. This is immediately apparent to the eye, as the frame is now designed in the “Curved” technology patented by Fliegl. The newly developed chassis also allowed significant reduction of the structural height – at only 900 mm, the loading height is now 50 mm lower than before. The modifications incorporated during development of the tandem threeway tipper focused on facilitating multifunctional use. One example of this is the loading area, which is now wide enough to accommodate pallets.

Technical data: The TSK 119, presented from the first time at the BAUMA trade fair, is the successor model to the tried and tested TSK 135 tandem tipper already in use Europe-wide. The completely new design allowed Fliegl to incorporate many changes which assist the operator in his everyday work and at the same time ensure long service life. The newly developed and patented “Curved” frame is hot-dip galvanised and thus offers the highest possible protection against corrosion.

The ground clearance has been increased again and minimises damage even in challenging terrain. This aim has also been achieved by routing the connection cables in and through the drawbar. A further highlight is the use of integrated air reservoirs. Here, the manufacturer completely does without conventional air reservoirs supplying air to the brake system. Instead, the necessary air is stored in hollow profiles already present as load-bearing elements in the chassis. This means no additional weight and also increases ground clearance. The extremely robust suspension is ensured by a low-maintenance tandem-rocker assembly, and even high point loads can be absorbed thanks to a reinforced tipping bridge.

Advantages: The new features show that great emphasis was placed during the design process on allowing a wide range of applications. Despite its many sophisticated new features and options for the user, the new TSK weighs only 2,600 kg. This allows problem-free use of the three-way tipper trailer to transport small excavators and other machines. The trailer can be loaded and unloaded even without a coupled tractor vehicle thanks to the easy-to-operate rear support. There is also a ramp storage compartment in the frame in which two aluminium ramps can be safely stowed away as protection against theft. A further advantage is central locking of the side panels. It is already included on all three sides as part of the basic equipment package.

The patented “Curved” chassis used for the first time on the TSK 119 has been a feature of all Fliegl tipper trailers for some time. In this way, the experience gained in the heavy-duty off-road use of tippers has been incorporated into the new chassis of the TSK. In addition to robust technology, the environment and sustainability are important factors: the “Curved” chassis is manufactured entirely in Triptis. This shows once again that for Fliegl, sustainability is a priority right from the design process and that it applies this principle consistently: Economy, ecology and quality go hand in hand, resulting in maximum efficiency.

Options: Even in the basic version, the new TSK 119 is ideally suited for a wide range of applications. The new design was tailored to the requirements of series production – which allows the manufacturing of even large quantities of the tandem three-way tipper within a short time. For customers who often also perform landscaping tasks, the side panels are available in a version for transporting leaves. Here, gratings with a height of 1,000 mm are fitted, allowing the transport of high-volume loads.

Summary: Première at the trade fair BAUMA 2019: Fliegl Fahrzeugbau GmbH is presenting a three-way tandem tipper with a completely new design. Through the use of a chassis in the patented “Curved” technology, the unladen weight has been reduced by more than 730 kg to 2,600 kg. All cables are routed through the drawbar for protection. In combination with greater ground clearance, this virtually excludes the risk of damage, even in rough terrain.

The steel tipper body is wide enough to take pallets, and with theft-proof storage of the ramps in the frame, the TSK 119 is also ideally equipped for the transportation of machines and working equipment. The sturdy rear supports allow loading and unloading even without a tractor unit attached. With the new 119 tandem three-way tipper, Fliegl has developed a tipper trailer that scores points, in particular for gardening and landscaping contractors, with a high payload, a wide range of options and a broad spectrum of applications.
