The VMG Group, one of Lithuania's leading wood processing companies, recently opened a state-of-the-art veneer plant for laminated veneer lumber (LVL) production. With an annual capacity of 120,000 m³, the facility not only marks a milestone in the wood industry but also sets new standards in sustainable and energy-efficient manufacturing.
The VMG Group exports its products to over 30 countries. In addition to the LVL plant opened in 2023, the group has established modern factories for furniture and particle board production at the same site in recent years. "Our mission is to focus on sustainability in every step of our production and operations. For this reason, the electric material handler from SENNEBOGEN is the perfect addition to our LVL plant," says Saidas Pariestis, Transport Maintenance Specialist at the VMG Group.
SENNEBOGEN 825 E Electric: Efficiency on a Portal
At the heart of the plant’s material logistics is the SENNEBOGEN 825 E electric material handler, mounted on a portal. This forward-looking machine ensures seamless material flow by reliably feeding logs from the conditioning line to the production lines. Thanks to its elevating cab, the operator always has a clear view of the entire work area—an essential advantage for safe and precise material handling.
