News from the US: the construction equipment sector in the US election

Towards the end of the ballot count, Joe Biden is projected to defeat President Donald Trump. The new presidency is likely to bring changes in the US policy priorities, including in areas impacting construction industry.

Recognising the importance of this election, the AEM - Association of Equipment Manufacturers took several lobbying & campaigning initiatives for the US manufacturing.

The AEM called on the federal government to develop and implement a comprehensive national strategy for manufacturing to strengthen the economy, create new jobs and opportunities.

In addition, the AEM has invited 2020 candidates to take the Pledge to Equipment Manufacturers. The Pledge to Equipment Manufacturers is a new program encouraging candidates to declare their support for the policies that keep the industry strong.
