Handling this type of heavy duty material in an outdoor environment requires robust and reliable equipment up to the task. Having used Linde forklifts for a number of years, Howe Fencing were familiar with the reliability of Linde products, so when the time came for renewal, the choice was obvious.

Simon Howe at Howe Fencing took delivery of two new trucks earlier this year and is delighhted with them. One H 20 D, 2 tonne truck is used in tighter areas of the site and the other H 25 D, 2.5 tonne truck is used for heavy duty work.

The EVO range from Linde is more efficient than ever before with lift and engine speeds now kept separate thanks to the new variable displacement pump. This results in low engine revolution speeds and equates to reduced fuel consumption where trials have recorded savings of up to 28%.

Fitted with full cabs, accompanied by air conditioning and heating ensures that operators at Howe Fencing are kept comfortable in all weathers during their eight hour shift. Twin pedal accelerators which allow quick directional change are also perfect for this type of application, where trucks shunt back and forth continuously throughout the day.

These features, combined with Linde’s virtually wear-free hydrostatic transmission where the need for a clutch, mechanical differential and reversing gears are eliminated, makes the trucks perfectly suited to this heavy duty application.
