Oerlikon Drive Systems Segment presents at AGMA’s Gear Expo 2017

Oerlikon Drive Systems Segment including Oerlikon Fairfield and Oerlikon Graziano will participate at Gear Expo, The Drive Technology Show held in Columbus, Ohio from October 24th through the 26th. The show continues to grow and serve thousands of drive technology experts and power transmission professionals.

At Gear Expo this year, gear buyers, end users, manufacturers, and engineers from many industries come to network, build relationships, discover and apply innovative technology that sets up their businesses to grow market share and expand product lines. At our booth 915, you can view Oerlikon‘s latest capabilities with gear designs, gear drives, and shifting solutions. On display will be a wide variety of products for various applications for both on and off-highway equipment. These will include products for mining, construction, agricultural machinery as well as specialty transmissions for electric vehicles.

Oerlikon Fairfield’s design engineer Adrian Nowoisky will present on Tuesday, October 24th between the times of 8:00 a.m. and noon at the Basics of Gearing session at the Fall Technical Meeting preceding Gear Expo. His paper Predicting Life on Through Hardened Steel Rack and Pinion for Jacking Applications in the Offshore Industry is on contact stresses pertaining to rack and pinion for jack up applications in the offshore industry which will include general design requirements and analytical evaluations of such designs. Two different methods will be discussed to approach this problem during the presentation.
