The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center and New Holland Agriculture today announced a five-year partnership that includes the renaming of the Complex’s Large Arena as the New Holland Arena -- just in time for the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is proud to partner with New Holland Agriculture – a leader in agriculture and a company with strong roots in Pennsylvania – as we work to increase the visibility of agriculture, educate the public about the importance of this industry, and help to create new opportunities now and in the future,” said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “With the 100th Farm Show right around the corner, I’m pleased New Holland will be a part of this milestone event by virtue of today’s announcement. When we open the 100th show on Saturday, the ceremony will be taking place in the New Holland Arena.”

The partnership agreement announced today positions New Holland as the exclusive equipment provider for the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center. Equipment used at the Farm Show Complex will be provided by two of New Holland’s local dealers; AG-INDUSTRIAL, INC. in New Holland, PA and Forrester Farm Equipment in Chambersburg, PA.

New Holland will also provide the Farm Show Complex with an additional $100,000 annually for five years to secure naming rights for the Large Arena, now to be called the New Holland Arena. New signage both on the interior and exterior of the New Holland Arena will reflect the name change, and New Holland will design a permanent historical equipment display in the Cameron Street lobby of the complex, to be completed in 2016.

The naming rights agreement builds on the existing partnership between New Holland and the department. Last month, New Holland joined with several other equipment dealers in Lancaster County to announce the formation of an agriculture mechanics apprenticeship program, which will work in tandem with the department’s workforce development initiative. The apprenticeship program is being established to create a pipeline from the classroom to the potential careers in agriculture.

“New Holland is proud to support the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Farm Show,” said Bret Lieberman, Vice President, New Holland North America. “Our shared passion for agriculture and appreciation for Pennsylvania’s farmers naturally places our organizations in a position to work together to support Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry.”
