Plug Power exhibits complete genkey solution at ProMat 2015 tradeshow

‘GenKey’ Is Plug Power’s All-Inclusive Offering That Incorporates Fuel Cells, Hydrogen Infrastructure, Service

Starting today, Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG), a leader in providing clean, reliable energy products, will be showcasing its comprehensive GenKey hydrogen fuel cell solution in booth 672 during the ProMat 2015 tradeshow taking place March 23-26 at Chicago’s McCormick Place South.

Plug Power’s GenKey solution is comprised of three separate elements: GenDrive fuel cell units, GenFuel hydrogen fuel and infrastructure, and GenCare maintenance service. It is intended to allow customers to seamlessly adopt hydrogen and fuel cells for their material handling operations.

Plug Power will showcase the many elements of GenKey, as well as the reasons why customers like Walmart, Kroger, Volkswagen and P&G have chosen hydrogen fuel cells in lieu of lead-acid batteries to power their lift truck fleets. Plug Power’s hydrogen fuel cell solutions allow customers to reduce operational costs and increase productivity. The GenKey offering has had a significant market impact, with 90 percent of Plug Power customers in 2015 selecting GenKey for hydrogen fuel cell deployments.

Also at the show, Plug Power will highlight its successes and continued focus on the GenFuel element of GenKey with material handling customers. During 2014 – the first year that GenFuel became available – Plug Power built ten GenFuel systems for customers that included Volkswagen, Honda, Walmart, Federal Express and Kroger. This experience has helped Plug Power to reduce the construction time of a GenFuel system to 12 weeks.

The GenKey display at ProMat 2015 puts into context how all of the solution elements complement one another to enhance the material handling customer’s experience with Plug Power hydrogen fuel cells. ProMat attendees that visit the Plug Power booth will have the opportunity to simulate a refueling from a GenFuel dispenser into a GenDrive fuel cell unit.
