Politicians to visit bauma 2019

Numerous politicians will use bauma 2019, the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, as an opportunity to find out about the latest innovations and talk to sector representatives from all over the world. Here is an overview of the most important dates to which media representatives are also cordially invited:

• The official trade fair tour—with brief welcome speeches—to mark the start of bauma 2019 will begin at 09:15 on Monday, April 8, at the Liebherr building foyer at the open-air site (FM 809 – 813). Trade fair boss Klaus Dittrich and Managing Director Stefan Rummel will welcome guests including:

  • Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy

  • Markus Söder, Bavarian Minister President

  • Jonatan Julien, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Quebec

  • Stéphane Dion, Canadian Ambassador

• On Thursday, April 11, Hubert Aiwanger, Deputy Bavarian Minister President and State Minister for Economic Affairs, State Development and Energy, will take a tour of bauma. This will begin at 10:00 at the East Entrance.

• At 15:00 on the same day, Messe München will welcome Michael Piazolo, the Bavarian State Minister for Education and Culture, to bauma. He will begin his tour of the trade fair at the “Think Big” initiative for young professionals at the International Congress Center ICM.

• On Friday, April 12, Markus Rinderspacher, Vice President of the Bavarian State Parliament and spokesman of the SPD fraction for European politics as well as the members of parliament Annette Karl and Natascha Kohnen will visit bauma. They will begin their tour at 09:00 in the Bavaria Lounge on the first floor of the West Entrance.

• An hour later, at 10:00, Messe München will welcome Hans Reichhart to bauma. The Bavarian State Minister for Housing, Construction and Transport will start his tour at the “Digital Construction Site” in Hall B0 in the ICM.
