SONLUX has introduced two new versions of its POWERCASE portable large-area luminaire, delivering enhanced versatility for a wide range of applications along with trademark build quality, tailored functionality and an impressive spec.

Statistically, around a third of all rescue operations involving personal injury and accidents occur at night. For rescue workers, deploying in the dark always carries a higher risk and makes the job tougher. Whether it´s a traffic accident, disaster response, police crime scene investigation, work on construction sites or industrial or commercial premises, the lack of daylight hampers work and ratchets up the overall risk. So ensuring sufficient lighting is usually the first and most critical task when operating in the dark.

Thanks to its eponymous case-style design, the POWERCASE range from SONLUX Lighting GmbH offers a choice of portable large-area luminaires that are easy for first responders and work crews to carry, and reliably illuminate any work area via mains power or portable 230 V generators.

Following the success of the POWERCASE L model – which boasts a powerful luminous flux of 102,200 lm – SONLUX has now expanded the product family with two even more compact models: the POWERCASE M and POWERCASE M Basic. Despite their smaller dimensions, they deliver a remarkable 59,000 lm with energy efficiency of 160 lm/W.

High performance runs in the family

The new models maintain the same high-performance standards and essential features that have made the POWERCASE range a trusted choice. The POWERCASE M features a rugged, impact- and break-resistant housing made from aluminium and plastic, meeting the IP65 protection class. The powerful LED panels operate behind a clear plastic (polycarbonate) cover with an optical lens system.

Their case design, integrated carry handles and a weight of just over 11 kg make these luminaires a piece of kit you can truly rely on. They also come with a protective carry cover or bag.

Both versions are available in a non-dimmable configuration, or continuously dimmable with separate controls on both sides. They also feature a removable power lead with a variety of plug options.

The POWERCASE M includes a DIN 14640 spigot adapter and can be mounted on an optional tripod or suspended with an accessory at 0°, 30°, 60°, or 90° angles. The POWERCASE M´s distinctive case design also enables standalone operation without additional accessories.

With a wind resistance rating of up to 150 km/h, the rugged build of the POWERCASE series is a match for any conditions. And a passive cooling system with an integrated aluminium heatsink ensures a long, maintenance-free service life.
