Success at the Platformers´ Days trade fair for JLG and Power Towers

For the first time, JLG and Power Towers presented themselves with a joint stand at this year´s Platformers´ Days. Large, spectacular and with lots of motion - the stand attracted large numbers of visitors. They marvelled at the ‘Nano Confined space’ prototype from Power Towers, a special development for access to suspended ceilings with a correspondingly narrow cage, and the moving Lightning Towers, developed for the flexible illumination of construction sites and halls, were also well received by the public.

However, ClearSky Smart Fleet, the industry´s first real platform for active fleet management and machine communication, took centre stage at the trade fair. The JLG machines on display were equipped with the new module, which is installed in the flashing light, so that trade fair visitors and media representatives could try out the new technology on site. It enables seamless interaction between the parties involved via the comprehensive ClearSky mobile app or the web portal.

At 2,825 kg, the new ES4046 is the lightest scissor lift in its segment - a feature that was met with great enthusiasm by prospective customers, as the machine can be easily transported on a trailer.

Powerful rubber quad tracks made the 660SJ telescopic boom lift one of the biggest eye-catchers on the stand. The rubber tracks were developed to enable smooth travel over obstacles and hilly terrain. A 457 millimetre wide, triangular, low-profile rubber track system is used, each of which is 834 millimetres high and 1.37 metres long and has four lower rollers. As the individual tracks are very wide, pressure is well distributed and the rubber material protects sensitive surfaces from damage.

On the walls of the stand´s open-plan sales and consultation areas, JLG proudly displayed photos of its service and sales crew - to the delight of long-standing customers and partners who finally got to see the faces of the people who have looked after them so well.

‘We are extremely satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair: high visitor numbers, a good atmosphere and lots of orders - it couldn´t have gone better,’ said JLG Germany boss Lutz Schwede. ‘We are also pleased with the increasing demand for EC Booms in all customer groups; word seems to be getting around about the advantages of electrified off-road machines.’
