Putzmeister America, Inc. Introduces New RS 850 Tubular Column Placing System

Putzmeister America, Inc. (Putzmeister) has introduced its new RS 850 Tubular Column Placing System, which features a fully automatic self-climbing system, and easy-to-assemble, compact design for high-rise pumping.

The new tower placing system’s one-sided, mechanical climbing system ensures greater flexibility and ease-of-use, as it is automated and does not need to be moved manually. The modular system allows users to reach great heights using various climbing and mounting equipment configurations.

In addition to the benefit of the self-climbing system, there also are five mounting equipment configurations available, which provide maximum versatility for diverse job site demands. The ballasted base works best on spacious job sites, while the cruciform and compact bases, and base plates provide options for more congested environments.

“As the use of technology in the construction industry continues to grow, our engineering team is continuously looking to incorporate those advances into all of our product lines,” said Bob Weiglein, Putzmeister’s Special Applications Business Manager. “Our new tubular column placing system is a great example of how an automated system can help increase efficiency and productivity.”

The RS 850 Tubular Column System uses a pin connect system that is easier to assemble, and the pins can be reused for efficiency and cost savings. The M-profile design incorporates the climbing and delivery systems into a smaller footprint—one meter by one meter—so it is easier to create and repair holes.

Also making setup easier, much of the tubular column and safety platform can be assembled at ground level. Three quarters of the safety column can be assembled and attached to the column, leaving only one side to position with the column standing upright.

The new RS 850 Tubular Column Placing System is available for immediate order.
