RAMIRENT AND ZEPPELIN RENTAL ANNOUNCE CLOSING OF JOINT VENTURE TO SERVE THE FEHMARNBELT TUNNEL PROJECT

Ramirent and Zeppelin Rental are pleased to announce the successful closing of the formation of their joint venture Fehmarnbelt Solution Services A/S announced 17 July 2014. With the transaction, two of Europe’s leading rental and construction site solution providers combine their resources and expertise to serve the cross-border Fehmarnbelt tunnel construction project due to start summer 2015.

“We are pleased to have received the approval from the competition authorities for the joint venture together with Zeppelin Rental. The Fehmarnbelt tunnel construction project, with a construction volume of 6.2 billion Euros, is estimated to start in summer 2015 and to be completed in 2021. Typically the potential equipment rental volume shared among the rental companies servicing the project amounts to 1-3% of the total construction volume.
