Rebuilding an old canal wall in Gothenburg, Sweden

Swedish piling contractor Sivenmark AB completed their part of a project for rebuilding old canal wall in Gothenburg. Over 900 pieces of VL 603 sheet piles ranging from 9 to 14 metres in length were installed to both side of the old wall for de-watering the wall area. Sheet pile length varied depending where the raked tubular piles were crossing under the sheet pile wall. In some part there was rock underneath and reinforcement for the sheet piles had to be drilled. The repair works were then started in dry conditions after all water was pumped away.
