Record demand, top turnover IAA track record for Fliegl Trailer

On Thursday the 65th IAA in Hanover comes to a close. For Fliegl Trailer this is not only the most important international trade fair for commercial vehicles, but also the most successful in the company's history. "Never before have we had so much positive feedback and secured so many important accounts as we have this year", says Managing Director Helmut Fliegl.

According to event organizers, the VDA; while the number of visitors was slightly down, by comparison to 2012, there was an increase the willingness of IAA exhibition visitors to invest. This was also noticed by Fliegl Trailer. Several high volume orders with well-known freight carriers and logistics providers were secured and finalised on the stand. Above all, the many new features that Fliegl presented met with great interest and were in strong demand with visitors. "Our appearance at the trade fair was a well rounded presentation and our competent exhibition team engaged with potential customers with convincing discussions and persuasive answers", says Helmut Fliegl. "With this all-round service and our newly developed trailer concepts we have made a significant leap forward in development at the IAA." Important new contacts have been made and existing distribution channels further strengthened, at the national and international level.

One of the Fliegl exhibition highlights: the new MegaRunner with patented 30 millimetre frame neck and unique height values in competition. With a coupling height of 940 millimetres it was the only IAA curtain sided semi-trailer with a real total height of 4 meters and an interior height of 3 meters. Fliegl presented a significant new feature for semi-trailer dumpers: The Asphaltprofi Thermo with rounded trough front, also a Fliegl patent. It reduces the weight of the vehicle and at the same time provides a plus regarding stability, since the vertical forces acting on the fifth wheel coupling plate are optimally combined and transferred. The all-over insulated trough attains top insulation values, an excellent compaction of the asphalt and with this optimal paving quality.

The President of the Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA) was also a guest at the Fliegl exhibition stand. Matthias Wissmann received first hand information about the exhibition fleet, new patents and Trailer concepts from Managing Director Helmut Fliegl.

Two TV-stars also attracted particularly large crowds when they used the Fliegl IAA Trailers as a stage. In the MegaRunner extreme sports star Joey Kelly collected donations by running a half-marathon on a treadmill. Presenter and entertainer Daniel Aminati performed his song "Die letzten unserer Art" and donated his entire fee to the organization Médecins sans Frontières. Both took time-out after their performances with an autograph session.

A strong conclusion, constructive customer dialogues, valuable contacts and a first-class image: The IAA 2014 – for Fliegl, a made to measure trade fair.
