recycling aktiv 2015

Some 12.500 visitors at the recycling aktiv trade show in Baden-Baden in mid-July 2015 speak for themselves. For the fourth time in a row, the demonstration trade fair for recycling machines and systems was a huge success for all exhibitors. HAMMEL also takes advantage of this special platform to meet customers and to present the capability of their machines and plants LIVE on the spot.

Wood and metal - HAMMEL shreds every material.

This year, existing customers and visitors of the trade show were able to experience the latest technologies in the areas of wood and metal shredding. HAMMEL was showcasing as many as THREE of its primary shredders on the open-air exhibition ground stand A 108. With the use of the new primary shredder VB 450 DK-DUO as well as the primary shredders VB 750 DK and VB 850 DK different materials like green waste and waste wood were processed.

The VB 450 DK-DUO is build with an innovative new 4-shaft system. In just one working step the customer is getting a homogenous end product of approximately 80 - 100 mm for immediate further processing. Moreover, this machine is alternatively available with either a C9 or C13 drive.

The primary shredders VB 750 DK and VB 850 DK are suitable for handling larger material quantities. Both machines are equipped with fine shafts which generate a homogenous end size. They stand out due to a high throughput and low energy consumption. Additional advantages include user-friendly handling with the IFM control and high mobility through a track system.

A HAMMEL- primary shredder is always the right choice for wood, waste or metal.

As in 2013 HAMMEL was present LIVE at the mobile scrap and scrap metal yard. Visitors could personally convince themselves of the versatile fields of application and capacity of the mobile HAMMEL metal plant.

The plant showcased at recycling aktiv consisted of the primary shredder “RED GIANT” VB 950 DK, the mobile metal screen MMS 150 DK and the mobile eddy current system MWA 1000 E. Furthermore, a mobile transport belt type MFB 800 E had been installed subsequent to the MWA 1000 E. Light mixed scrap was shredded LIVE on-site during all three days of the trade show.

The raw material was first roughly processed with the VB 950 DK and then transported to the mobile metal screen. The shredded material was carried to the integrated vibrating bar screen of the metal screen via a discharge belt and then further to the magnet drum. The drum accurately separated ferrous metals (FE) from non-ferrous (NE) materials. Afterwards, the ferrous metals (FE) were discharged and the non-ferrous parts (NE) were transported to the mobile eddy current system. This machine separates aluminum from the fluff fraction. Following this, the fluff was carried to the mobile transport belt type MFB 800 E for a manual sorting of impurities. The remaining oversize material coming from the metal screen was transported back to the VB 950 DK via a return conveyor.

Above version shown at the recycling aktiv trade show is only one of many possibilities to set up such mobile metal plant. Depending on customer requests several other components like the secondary shredder HEM 1250 DK; the mobile metal separation MMA 1400 E or the mobile sorting system MSS 1000 E can be integrated.

Many clients and potential customers visited the HAMMEL team on all three days of the fair to learn more about the latest HAMMEL- technology and to enjoy an original “Thuringian Bratwurst”. We thank all our guests for their visit at our stand and especially for the many constructive discussions.
