ROLLS-ROYCE PRESENTS EXTENSIVE MTU ENGINE AND SERVICE PORTFOLIO AT BAUMA CHINA 2014

  • MTU engines for C&I and Mining cover a power range from 75 to 3,000 kW

  • Entire product line meets all emissions standards up to EPA Tier 4 final/EU Stage IV

Under the brand MTU, Rolls-Royce will be showcasing its extensive construction and industrial engine and service portfolio at this year’s Bauma China in Shanghai from 25 to 28 November. The MTU booth no. N5.148 is located in hall 5 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). MTU will be presenting a portfolio of products in the 75 to 3,000 kW range. Featured at the booth will be the engines of Series 500, Series 1100, Series 1300 and Series 4000. The MTU brand is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce.

Central to MTU’s display this year are the engines of Series 1100 and 1300. Ready for EPA Tier 4/EU Stage IV markets, Series 1100 and 1300 engines use cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to meet stringent emissions standards already in effect in Europe and the US. Offered in the 280 to 390 kW power range, they also introduce exceptional features such as an airless SCR system, improved output and torque characteristics, and very low fuel consumption.

With power outputs from 260 to 480 kW, Series 500 engines use SCR to meet EPA Tier 4i/EU Stage IIIB emissions standards and support the reliable operation of engines with fuel containing less than 300ppm sulphur content. Also for 2015, the new generation of Series 4000 engines will cover the 1,150 to 3,000 kW power range. Available in 12, 16 and 20 cylinder versions, the engines will consume up to 3% less fuel compared to today’s EPA Tier 2 compliant engines.

For C&I and Mining applications, MTU’s versatile engines are valued for their low fuel consumption, outstanding power coupled with compact design, impressive dynamic performance and excellent availability. MTU engines adhere to international emissions regulations and thus are a popular choice for Western and Asian enterprises seeking clean propulsion solutions. With a strong network of service dealers and authorized workshops, MTU is firmly committed to the China market and providing quality solutions to Chinese customers.

MTU offers not only the engines, but also systems expertise and localized service.
