Rototilt’s new quick couplers optimise tiltrotator systems

Rototilt’s new quick couplers improve safety, prolong service life and preserve excavation geometry. The series of quick couplers is now being expanded with the new models S40, S45 and S50.

"With our quick couplers, you get an optimal tiltrotator system with the quick coupler, tiltrotator, control systems and tools interacting with each other," says Sven-Roger Ekström, product manager at Rototilt Group AB.

Rototilt’s powerful quick couplers are durable, providing many years of service. The frame is made of quenched and hardened cast steel with a broad contact surface. A powerful locking wedge construction provides a quick coupler entirely free of play, with few and well-protected components. In addition, all hydraulic couplings are ORFS couplings, which minimises the risk of leakage.

When using Rototilt’s quick couplers, the risk of oscillating or dropped equipment is eliminated because the SecureLock™ function is integrated into the quick coupler and is easily combined with the SecureLock™ function in the tiltrotator.

“SecureLock™ allows the operator to be sure that tools are always correctly coupled, providing a very high level of safety for everyone at the job site," says Sven-Roger Ekström.

Each excavator has its optimised excavation geometry. Rototilt quick couplers are engineered to the properties of specific excavator models to preserve the excavation geometry.

"Since we launched the quick couplers last year, we have received very positive feedback with considerable appreciation of the whole with a quick coupler and tiltrotator of the same high quality," says Sven-Roger.

The new quick couplers will be available for delivery during the spring of 2018.
