Dr. Eng. Krause is a civil engineer specialization in modeling and simulation techniques. He is 31 years old, married and has two children.  Robert Krause earned his doctorate degree in Simulation Technology from the University of Stuttgart (Clusters of Excellence) in November, 2014.

At RUTHMANN, stability, functionality, and uncompromising safety are top priorities. Robert Krause conducts appropriate stability analysis/calculations in order to assure that every STEIGER ® leaves the factory with the perfect security settings/configurations. He calculates the working range of a truck-mounted aerial work platform by taking into account their stability and load capacity.

"I have had a soft spot for truck-mounted aerial work platforms for as long as I can remember,” Dr. Eng. Robert Krause admitted. “After reading RUTHMANN's job posting, I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity for me. Working for the market-leading work platform manufacturer allows me to indulge my fascination while maximizing operational safety at the jobsite.”

“As the most competent work platform manufacturer in the industry, RUTHMANN is now extremely well positioned. All of my experience and motivation goes into improving what is already good. I am constantly engaged in system optimization/development analysis in order enhance the working range of our machinery without compromising the extremely high safety standards that RUTHMANN is so famous for,” Robert Krause explained.

In addition, Robert Krause is also actively involved in Research and Development. Here, for example, he helps facilitate the collaborative efforts betweenRUTHMANN and advanced technical colleges/universities.
“More can be achieved when working together. In research projects with young, tech-savvy students, I intensify collaboration with external partners in the field of mechanics and robotics as well as hydraulic systems and electrical engineering in order to provide the highest degree of technical expertise to our customers,” Dr. Eng. Robert Krause said.

By reaching out to technical colleges/universities, RUTHMANN ensures that future job vacancies are optimally filled. Currently, Dr. Eng. Krause is accompanying two students – one from the technical college in Dortmund and another from a university in Ukraine. During the course of their terminal (final) examinations, theRUTHMANN team has benefited tremendously from their innovative ideas. Once again, RUTHMANN is acting more and more like a global company.

"RUTHMANN is constantly expanding its international presence,” Robert Krause continued. “This is something that I am particularly interested in. In addition to German, I also speak English, Russian, and French. To be able to use these languages in my daily work, is extremely important to me. I also like the open and constructive dialogue and the flat organizational structure at RUTHMANN. I am very pleased to be part of the RUTHMANN family."

Design and Development Manager – Dr. Nico Krekeler – has tremendous confidence in his colleague’s capabilities.
"Dr. Krause has established himself as a key member of the team. I appreciate his profound knowledge, experience, and perspectives. We both share the same fascination with truck-mounted aerial work platforms. Our mutual goal is to provide true customer value/benefits and wow our customers with innovative technology and creative design.”
