RUTHMANN STEIGER ® T 510 HF wins MOVICARGA Award

The RUTHMANN STEIGER ® T 510 HF has been named as the winner in the category ‘best truck-mounted working platform (large appliances)’ at the first Movicarga Awards*.

The award ceremony took place in the SANTO DOMINGO hotel which is located in the center of Madrid (Spain) on September 22nd, 2016. The award ceremony was attended by industry experts from around the world.
The well-known Spanish journal Movicarga which initiated this international contest, invited the aerial platform manufacturer for the first time to participate with their truck-mounted platform innovation in the international competition.

Three possible winners were chosen by an expert jury from the collected submissions . Alongside the technical performance of the machine and the customer benefits, the added value of the product was evaluated as well.

The RUTHMANN STEIGER ® T 510 HF – with its revolutionary performance data of 51 m working height, mounted on a 2-axle chassis, completely impressed and won by a large margin against the well-known competitors.

The T 510 HF is one of the RUTHMANN’s new STEIGER ® highflex-series which includes a total of four models. This series includes also the T 570 HF, which celebrated its world premiere at bauma in spring  as well as the T 510 HF. This series is completed with the T 650 HF and the T 750 HF, which will be presented to the public for the first time in October, 2016.

The ‘HF’ in the model designation of the new STEIGER ® is an abbreviation for ‘high flex’. With this terminology RUTHMANN summarizes extraordinary, constructive developments in the field of work basket rotation angle and work basket boom rotation angle offering the user a high degree of operational flexibility and freedom of movement. The maximum highflex work basket rotation angle is 440° and the RÜSSEL ® respectively the work basket boom rotation angle is a genuine 220°. In connection with the unique work basket construction and the concept of the ‘standing/upright work basket’, operators can navigate very flexiblly not only at higher located objects. This is possible in the underfloor area as well and with ‘up and over and back’ situations in use, completely new possibilities arise.

The Movicarga Award is comparable to the IAPA Award (International Award for Powered Access), which is considered by many as the ‘Oscar’ of the aerial working platform industry. Similar to the IAPA award, the MOVICARGA award honors extraordinary performances and the best developments. This worldwide contest was organized for the first time by the famous Spanish journal Movicarga.
