“Safe & Speed Kit” for Optima HD row

More extreme weather conditions and shorter seeding periods require higher performance of machines in field. Due to that, Kverneland Group Soest GmbH will present an update of the Optima sowing unit to increase the working speed with the well-known precision planter.

The Optima “Safe & Speed Kit” will be available in a limited O-series for spring season 2016 and it is specially designed for maize seeding.

Parts of this kit are

1. Intermediate press wheel of stainless steel with high weight

2. Channel Extra to improve the transport of the seeds into furrow

3. New self-setting vacuum interruptor to have a more precise drop-off point

4. 40 holes disc for lower rpm of seed disc

5. 100kg adjustable ballast on row for a smooth run

Tests and practical experiences on the farms have shown that this kit ensures an accurate precision, also at higher speeds up to 12 km/h.

The Optima “Safe & Speed Kit” will be shown on Agritechnica 2015.
