Verona, 21 March 2014. Samoter will be the stage chosen by Komatsu to outline some of its Innovations in 2014 to an audience of professionals from all over Europe at Veronafiere 8-11 May.

The announcement was made by engineer Enrico Prandini, Managing Director Italy for Komatsu, the Japanese giant among the world leaders in the earth-moving machinery sector.  On this occasion, Prandini also announced Komatsu's decision to attend the 29th edition of Samoter, Veronafiere's international triennial earth-moving and building machinery exhibition (, held this year in conjunction with Asphaltica, the exhibition of solutions and technologies for roads, safety and infrastructures (

"We decided, after considerable thought dictated by the economic situation, to attend Samoter 2014 for three reasons," Prandini explained. First of all, because we build machinery in our own production plant in Italy and it is crucial for us to give a signal to the market and the country. Secondly, because Samoter is the main Italian event for earth-moving and building machinery sector and part of the trio of European exhibitions referring to CECE and taking part is strategic for our distribution network. Thirdly, for the historic status of the event and our constant attendance: this year is the 50th anniversary of the first edition and we want to stress that the relationship with Veronafiere and Samoter is a milestone in our history. Not the least in light of this," concluded the Managing Director of Komatsu Italia Manufacturing Spa, "we have decided to present important previews of our innovations."
