Simple to use, intuitive catalogue uses ISO standard product descriptions
Sandvik Coromant has announced a new version of its comprehensive ‘Main Catalogue’ that is set to become an essential reference for engineers, operators and other production and manufacturing professionals. Split into three volumes - rotating tools, turning tools and spare parts - the new catalogues cover around 35,000 tools currently available from Sandvik Coromant.
Readers can browse thousands of pages of innovative products that, for ease of use, have been organized according to application area. Detailed product descriptions, technical data, application tables and cutting data sheets are combined with high definition photos and images of the tools and inserts. In addition, this is the first Sandvik Coromant catalogue that describes all of the product data in accordance with the ISO13399 international standard. This standardisation of product data enables transparent communication between users and many PLM, CAD, CAM, CNC simulation and tool management systems.
The new print catalogue complements the Sandvik Coromant customised digital catalogue that can be accessed via:www.sandvik.coromant.com. Customers are encouraged to browse through the catalogue, and then visit the online shop to place orders.
“While there has been an increasing uptake of digital catalogues in recent years, many of our customers tell us that they still prefer to use printed publications. By offering both print and digital options we can ensure that we meet the needs of the widest possible audience of production professionals” says one of our Sales Managers.
Copies of the new printed catalogue can be ordered via email, telephone or through a local Sandvik Coromant representative.
