Schäffer 3450 S: Workhorse with numerous applications

The 3450 S fills the gap between the 24 series and the wheel loaders with Z-Kinematics by Schäffer. The machine was designed specifically for the requirements of gardening, landscaping and construction. With a working weight from 3,100  kg, it can safely transport weights of 2 t – sufficient power to move even the heaviest stone pallets.

The 3450 S is powered by a fuel-efficient low-emission Kubota engine with 37 kW/ 50 HP. The driving speed is optionally up to 28 km/h. The whole drive is perfectly adapted thanks to using original Schäffer axles. This is supported by the HTF drive (High Traction Force) which provides efficient power transmission. The entire machine is highly efficient, which is the reason for its high thrust forces while maintaining low fuel consumption.

Schäffer applied the highest standards of quality and convenience also for the 3450 S. Ball joints in the lifting and tool cylinder are by far more durable than the usual bush joints. The standard model comprises the hydraulic tool lock as well as the third control circuit. As for all Schäffer loaders, the articulating/ swivelling joint is absolutely maintenance-free. The guarantee period for this component is up to 3,000 hours of operation or 3 years.

The lifting height is 2.60 m, which makes it easy to load or unload even larger trucks. The low and narrow design of the front section furthermore enables a perfect view to the attachment tools.

The loader is also available as SLT version. The machine then has a total height of barely 2.07 m which enables it to pass low clearances or be used in underground car parks. There is also a version with a reduced working weight of 2,700 kg, which enables transport of the machine with a car trailer. A large selection of attachment tools and tyre options provide a wide variety of potential applications.
