Schenk Tanktransport orders 150 on-board computers from GreenCat ‘Optimal communication crucial for modern logistics service provider’

Papendrecht-based Schenk Tanktransport recently placed an order for 150 GreenCat TopIQ on-board computers, in addition to the almost 140 TopIQ’s that Schenk already uses. For a service-provider like Schenk, which places great focus on its customers, optimal communication is the cornerstone of its business - communication between the company, its clients and their customers, but also between planners, drivers and vehicles. For the latter task, Schenk once again opted for TopIQ on-board computers by GreenCat, which is a Groeneveld Company. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art Telematics, drivers and vehicles can be managed in real-time, while closely monitoring the performance and status of the transport. Furthermore, due to the combination with GPS, the back-office will always have an insight into the location of vehicles. If necessary, this information can be used to inform customers.

Schenk Tanktransport, which was founded in 1925 and is now being run by the third generation of the Schenk family, has experienced very strong growth since the Nineties. Via takeovers of fellow transport companies, and the acquisition of transport equipment from national and international oil producers and industrial gas producers, Schenk Tanktransport has been able to expand into one of the largest transport companies in the Netherlands.
