  • SCHWAB GmbH is launching the LS 15.17, the largest car trailer crane for transport with 3.5 tons currently available on the market.

  • The LS 15.17 model has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,500 kg, up to 510 kg at the tip, and an outreach of up to 17 m.

  • The new model is part of SCHWAB's crane range, which includes large top and bottom slewing cranes from Potain with jibs of up to 75 m.

  • The LS 15.17 is designed for construction site operators for maintenance work, industrial assembly, hall construction, solar panel installations, roofing and timber work, repairs, minor construction work, and renovations.

  • SCHWAB GmbH has been the main importer of MiDi trailer cranes from MiDi Cranes in the D-A-CH region since 2020.

  • The LS 15.17 integrates performance and capacity in a compact crane that can be erected in areas with limited access, reaching heights of 15 m with the jib horizontal, up to 22 m with the jib in the upright position.

  • The crane, together with the approved undercarriage (RD-Road), does not exceed the trailer load of 3,500 kg and can be transported by a light vehicle (class B+E) with a permissible trailer load of up to 3,500 kg.

  • All models are equipped with a hydraulic telescopic boom design and a variety of attachments, such as grapples, hooks, or pallet forks.

  • The assembly of the crane is possible very quickly, with one person needing only about 15 minutes for this.

  • The LS 15.17 will be presented at the Platformers' Days trade fair in Karlsruhe in September.

With the presentation of the LS 15.17 at the Platformers' Days trade fair in Karlsruhe in September, SCHWAB GmbH will start selling the largest car trailer crane for transport with 3.5 tons currently available on the market. The model has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,500 kg, up to 510 kg at the tip and an outreach of up to 17 m.

The majority of SCHWAB's crane range includes large top and bottom slewing cranes from Potain with jibs of up to 75 m for construction sites requiring great heights and reach. The addition of compact quick-mount trailer cranes completes SCHWAB's product portfolio. This will focus construction site operators for maintenance work, industrial assembly, hall construction, solar panel installations, roofing and timber work, repairs, minor construction work and renovations.

Since 2020, SCHWAB GmbH has been the main importer of MiDi trailer cranes from MiDi Cranes in the D-A-CH region. Since then, the cranes have quickly made a name for themselves. This success is based not least on the good price-performance ratio compared to other cranes in this sector.

The new model in the MiDi series, the LS 15.17, also integrates performance and capacity in a compact crane that can be erected in areas with limited access. It reaches heights of 15 m with the jib horizontal, up to 22 m with the jib in the upright position, and can handle maximum loads of up to 1,500 kg. The crane is designed in such a way that, together with the approved undercarriage (RD-Road), it does not exceed the trailer load of 3,500 kg. It can therefore be transported by a light vehicle (class B+E) with a permissible trailer load of up to 3,500 kg! A common 230 volt house connection is sufficient for operation.

All models are equipped with a hydraulic telescopic boom design that allows the reach to be adjusted as needed. They also have a variety of attachments, such as grapples, hooks or pallet forks, to handle different loads.

The assembly is possible very quickly. Supported by the hydraulic assembly of tower and boom by radio remote control, one person needs only about 15 minutes even alone for this.

"We are convinced that the LS 15.17 is a great addition to our MiDi fleet and offers our customers even more options to efficiently complete their lifting and transport tasks. We are pleased to have this powerful trailer crane in our portfolio since 2023," says Lars Holzhey, Managing Director at Schwab.

Interested distributors, dealers and customers can see MiDi models and matching accessories at this year's Platformers' Days from September 08 to 09 in Karlsruhe (booth F 240).
