  • SharpGrade International introduces the new G-109 grader blade attachment for CTLs, designed for 75-90 HP range.

  • The G-109 features hydraulic front wheel assembly adjustment and can grade as close as 11” to curbs and foundations.

  • The blade offers a wide range of motion, grading from 66” to 109”, and can grade to within 1/8” both forwards and in reverse.

  • Built for durability, the G-109 weighs 2,700lb and includes SharpGrade’s patented QuadRod linkage for minimal maintenance.

  • The design includes outboard mounted cylinders, adjustable hitch plate, and hydraulically actuated side wings for enhanced performance.

  • The G-109 is compatible with major 3D control systems and offers SharpGrade’s own QuadGrade control system for 2D control.

Adding more innovation and operator comfort to their already strong range of grader blade attachments for CTL’s, SharpGrade International has once again raised the bar in this competitive market segment.

Designed to operate in the 75 – 90 HP range the new SharpGrade G-109 delivers on performance and practicality. Without leaving the cab the operator can now hydraulically raise and lower the entire front wheel assembly with the click of a button and being able to grade as close as 11” to curbs and foundations greatly reduces the amount of hand finishing work when operating in in this space. What this means for the operator is that this machine is perfect for foundation, curb and sidewalk prep, arenas, and landscaping. With an impressive range of motion with the blade capable of grade as wide as 109” or as little as 66” you get the performance of a much larger grader blade with the ability to also work in very compact spaces, and alike the rest of the SharpGrade G-Series range the new G-109 can grade to within 1/8” both forwards and in reverse.

The G-109 is no lightweight, weighing in at 2,700lb these attachments have been designed for hard work, and are built to last. Examining the blade up close you immediately notice the size and scale of each and every component. Rodney Sharp, owner and president of SharpGrade explained how one of their Colorado clients operated a fleet of SharpGrade levelers, with two of that fleet having each operated for over 1,500 hours grading in excess of one million feet, and still with all original bushes, linkages and bearings, and their oldest SharpGrade having amassed an amazing 6,500 hours.

Featuring SharpGrades patented sealed, shielded, and lifetime lubricated QuadRod linkage they have been designed for maximum uptime and minimal maintenance. Deviating from conventional grader blade design, Sharp told us how the outboard mounted cylinders reduced cross coupling to a minimum, and with no center pivot delivered the most rigid blade in its class which could also grade both forwards and in reverse. “Our design philosophy is about maximum uptime, minimal maintenance, and maximum productivity with the very best operator experience” he said.

Machine compatibility is paramount to delivering great performance, so an adjustable hitch plate is a standard feature that ensures perfectly level installation, and an underslung walking beam reduces wheel scuff in turns. Twin pivoting blades can cut, carry, trim, spread and finish in one pass and in either direction.

Hydraulically actuated side wings are designed to cut and trim, and to ensure minimal damage to curbs when working close, the wings are designed with rounded front corners, and to ensure maximum uptime the side wing cylinders are operated in tension making it near impossible to damage them. A curved moldboard which is deepest in class, along with no center pivot reduces material segregation and delivers unparalleled response times.

To ensure maximum compatibility with all major 3D control systems including Topcon MC Mobile, the company also provides pre-made brackets and harnesses to simplify installation, or for 2D control SharpGrade’s own QuadGrade control system can be operated from an on-board display, mobile phone or tablet, and for exacting accuracy with grade matching or string line work, the optional Sonic Tracker can be attached to either side of the machine.

There is no doubt that Sharp’s design philosophy and significant technological advancements in the CTL attachment space have made SharpGrade a true market disruptor.
