Showing their commitment to sustainable construction: TRESPA International joins IBU

Institut Bauen und Umwelt (IBU) is constantly expanding: As from August 2015 IBU welcomes the manufacturer of High Pressure Laminates applied in façades and laboratory equipment/scientific surface solutions as a full member of the association.

TRESPA International B. V. is one of the market leaders for architectural panels and is internationally recognized as a manufacturer for high quality façade systems, decorative façades and interior surfaces. Founded in 1960 in the Netherlands, TRESPA has always worked closely together with architects, designers, installers, dealers and consumers all over the world. TRESPA has worked closely with architects, designers, installers, distributors and end users globally since its founding in 1960. TRESPA focuses on product development, combining quality manufacturing technologies with intelligent solutions for architectural applications. With unique insights into core market challenges and demands, TRESPA passionately delivers innovative, aesthetically pleasing and high performance solutions for a wide range of architectural needs.

Christine Klomp, Compliance Manager at TRESPA states: “During our production process we principally focus on the longevity of our products.” Making the longevity of their products and their recyclability transparent in a neutral, credible and comprehensive way gave rise to creating an Environmental Product Declaration at IBU. Two EPDs have already been published at IBU for High Pressure Laminates in façades called Trespa® Meteon® panels. TRESPA will create further EPDs for laboratory equipment and scientific surface solutions. Christine Klomp explains: “IBU is widely present on an international level and TRESPA therefore globally wants to appeal to architects with their EPDs, containing comprehensive product information. Moreover, together with IBU we would like to further strengthen the awareness for sustainable construction.“
