SibStroyExpo 2012, the International Exhibition of Construction Machinery, Materials, Equipment and Road Building Technologies, was held from 16 to 19 October 2012 at Russia’s Novosibirsk Expocentre. The event was organised alongside IDES/Infrastructure Development of Siberia, the leading international industrial exhibition.
With 111 companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, UAE, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Greece and China taking part, exhibition space increased by 40% and presentation of construction machinery at the event rose by 80%. 4,500 construction professionals visited the exhibition over the four days it was held.

SibStroyExpo again featured presentations of construction machinery, municipal vehicles, road building machinery, equipment for producing building materials, construction engineering, personal protection equipment and work wear, and building structures. Thanks to the technical capabilities of the new exhibition centre, exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase machinery outside the pavilion as well as inside.
Pinnacle LGS (USA and UAE) exhibited light steel thin-walled constructions technologies. “Light steel thin-walled constructions are a very promising area in the USA, as over 70% of houses in North America are built using this technology,” said Ermek Turgaliyev, the company’s sales manager in Russia and the CIS. “Houses built using this technology are very economical - like a thermos, it heats up quickly and keeps warm very well. Additionally, this technology costs 30% less than traditional building technology.”
Mr Turgaliyev stated that Pinnacle has just begun to explore the Russian market, and SibStroyExpo is the third exhibition in Russia the company has taken part in. “Speaking about the organisation of the exhibition, I would give it the highest mark. Everything went well.”
The German company Prime Drilling displayed horizontal drilling plant from 30 to 600 tonnes, bentonite pumps, and mixing and processing plant. “The efficiency of the exhibition for us this year has increased threefold,” said sales director Ralf Kiesow. “This really is a very good exhibition. This is the second time we have taken part in SibStroyExpo. Last year we were interested in participating in a Siberian regional event, our company received a wide response in 2011 and we decided to participate again the following year.”
Alongside conferences and seminars, a construction machine demonstration show also took place within the exhibition, organised by Technograde and attracting high levels of interest among the visitors.
