SIMA Show 2015 - a warm welcome awaits in Hall 5

SIMA Show, Paris: February 22nd – 26th

This weekend will see the start of this year’s SIMA Show in Paris and we would like to extend a warm welcome to one and all on the Amazone stand in Hall 5. Across an area of 2,500 m2 a vast array of spreaders, sprayers, cultivators and drills as well as Groundcare kit will be on show. Having seen what has been in the farming Press recently, you will know that we intend to launch some exciting new products there.
With 25 new ‘innovations’ shown to the world’s Press in January, it goes without saying that there is more to see on the stand than we can cover here, so this is a quick overview of the highlights of what we have on offer:

The new ZA-V twin-disc fertiliser spreader

These mid-range fertiliser spreaders come in 6 different hopper sizes from 1,700 litres through to 4,200 litres and in spreading widths up to 36 metres. They offer a complete new spreading system that, in comparison with other spreaders in their class, has a 20% wider throwing width for safer, more reliable spread patterns. The physical output of the machine has been increased to cope with these wider widths at higher forward speeds and the combination of agitation, aperture, delivery and spreading discs has been developed-on to further reduce the amount of damage caused to the fertiliser granules - hence the designation for the new spreader of SoftBallisticSystem pro. The extensive range offers all the toys with a new border spreading system - Limiter V+, pressure-sensitive agitation, ISOBUS communication with tilt sensor, integrated rolling and parking device, roll-up hopper cover and 8-section automatic headland shut-off via GPS-Switch on a PTO-driven spreader.

High-tech AD-P Special pneumatic drill

The AD-P Special has been the top-selling drill combination for years but the thoughts behind the new drill were to offer increased comfort levels, more performance and longer component life. The new range is designated the AD-P x000 and comes in working widths of 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 metres with two hopper size options of 850 or 1250 litres that can be extended to 1,100 or 1,500 litres respectively. The new, flat wider hoppers feature a roll-up cover and a better loading step for easy access and filling. The electrically-driven metering system is more accessible and calibration is simplified by the addition of the optional TwinTerminal 3 remote secondary terminal down at the hopper. In-cab control is either by AMADRILL+ or AMATRON 3.The new high output fan is quieter needing a third less oil to drive it and the new RoTeC coulters have been reworked to feature the heavy-duty bearing support from the RoTeC pro coulters found on Cirrus drills.

ED precision drills go single row shut-off

In the world of precision drills, the new third generation ED will also feature heavily. In working widths of 3.0m, 4.5m and 6.0m, the drills feature a hydraulic drive to the seed metering system for in-cab seed rate control and electric drive clutches enable the machine to be used for individual row shut-off via GPS-Switch. The new fertiliser metering system is electric for simple push-button calibration and in-cab rate control. Seed hopper capacity is increased by 25% to 60 litres for increased output. Communication from tractor to drill is via ISOBUS.

Compact disc harrow range extended

With its 660 mm serrated discs and integrated middle running gear, the Certos TX heavy compact disc harrow makes its public debut. Designed for mixing in larger amounts of organic matter such as following cover crops, grass or grain maize, the aggressively angled discs penetrate better into heavier soils and can work down to a maximum depth of 20 cm if required. The machine complements the existing Catros and Catros+ ranges and is offered in working widths of 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0m with a horsepower requirement from 40 hp per metre.

And so with new boom options, following rollers for cultivators, packers for drills, electronics, wearing metal, coulters, etc., etc. there is much to come and look at this year in Paris. Amazone Ltd staff will be on the Stand from Sunday until Tuesday and we look forward to welcoming you in Hall 5.
