  • Simex introduces the D-BLADE 200, a diamond blade floor saw for precise and safe cutting of asphalt and concrete up to 220 mm deep.

  • The attachment transfers traditional push-type saw technology to skid steer loaders, improving operator conditions and efficiency.

  • Features include segmented rim diamond blades with wet cutting for better cooling, longer blade life, and dust reduction.

  • The product supports no-dig technologies, aligning with Simex's commitment to low-impact underground utility installations and maintenance.

Designed for applications on concrete and asphalt, the Simex D-BLADE 200 is a floor saw equipped with a diamond blade capable of reaching cutting depths of up to 220 mm, developed to ensure high standards of precision, operational safety, and productivity on road construction sites.

The D-BLADE range was created with the goal of transferring the technology of traditional push-type asphalt cutting saws to skid steer loaders, while at the same time improving operator working conditions and the overall efficiency of operations. The attachment stands out for its ability to perform linear cuts on road surfaces and concrete pavements, making it particularly suitable for creating expansion joints on continuous surfaces.

Among the most common applications are the controlled removal of asphalt sections for repair works, the opening of new road manholes, and the execution of straight cuts for the installation of fiber optic cables, especially during the final connection stages to buildings. The clean, burr-free cut reduces the production of waste material and prevents trench wall collapse, facilitating backfilling operations and improving the quality of surface restoration.

Operational advantages

  • Precise and clean cuts

  • Enhanced safety for operators

  • Reduced production of waste material

  • Prevention of trench deformation

  • Ideal for cutting/removing concrete pavements, structures, and road curbs

  • Water spraying system with integrated 120 lt. Tank

  • Compatible with standard diamond blades

Diamond blades: segmented rim technology

The D-BLADE 200 operates with segmented-rim diamond blades and a wet cutting system.

The blade edge consists of metal segments containing synthetic diamond granules, separated by dedicated cooling slots that play a crucial role during operation.

Function of the segments

The segments allow:

  • improved blade cooling through water and air circulation;

  • efficient removal of cutting debris;

  • reduced thermal deformation and uneven wear;

  • increased cutting speed on hard and abrasive materials.

Design solutions for efficiency and practicality

Key features of the attachment include:

  • Quick blade replacement, reducing machine downtime;

  • Front direction indicator for precise advancement;

  • Openable front guard, improving accessibility and facilitating vertical cuts.

Wet cutting: operational performance and safety

The attachment is designed exclusively for use with diamond blades for wet cutting; the use of dry-cutting blades is not permitted.

The use of water during cutting ensures several advantages:

1. Effective cooling: Reduces operating temperature, preventing overheating and deformation.

2. Longer blade life: Limits wear on diamond segments and extends tool lifespan.

3. Superior cutting quality: Improves stability and precision while reducing vibrations and chipping.

4. Dust reduction: Minimizes particulate dispersion, increasing safety and visibility.

No-dig technologies: Simex’s commitment to low-impact worksites

With D-BLADE, Simex confirms its commitment to developing no-dig technologies—solutions designed for the installation, management, and maintenance of underground utility networks while minimizing impact on existing pavements.

Today the company offers more than 15 models of cutting wheels dedicated to narrow-section trench excavation, mini-trenching, and micro-trenching. These attachments are distributed across four main product ranges: RW, T, and D-BLADE for loaders and skid steer loaders, and the RWE and TFU lines for excavators of various operating classes.
