Simon Pammer, Head of Sales at HYDRAC: “When tough jobs become easy, it's probably due to the right attachment.”

HYDRAC offers a wide range of municipal equipment and attachments for tractors since 1966. Patrik Eder, editor at LECTURA, talked to Simon Pammer, Head of Sales at HYDRAC, about the company’s presence at Agritechnica 2023, latest products in the portfolio and future plans.

Patrik Eder: What products and services have you showcased at Agritechnica 2023?
 

Simon Pammer: Our complete product portfolio. In addition to snow ploughs, spreaders, winter service and municipal equipment for tractors and trucks, the product range also includes front loaders, front hydraulics and front PTO shafts for tractors.

PE: What was the highlight at your stand?
 

SP: We have introduced the new HYDRAC SMARTline products such as:

• SMARTline Front Loader

With its sophisticated design, the SMARTline front loader is an innovation in the field of front loader technology. The integration of smart details simplifies operation and increases work efficiency.

• SMARTline Spreader control

The intelligent ISOBUS control of the SMARTline spreader enables perfect integration and synchronisation with the tractor. The control system ensures precise spreading of the material - supported by state-of-the-art technology and data management.

• SMARTline VH ploughs

The SMARTline VH plough is characterised by its high flexibility and adaptability. It can work in various positions and can be easily adapted to different operating conditions thanks to its low centre of gravity and variable spring flaps.

PE: What's new in the product portfolio for municipal equipment and snow removal?
 

SP: When tough jobs become easy and difficult conditions become a pleasant change, it's probably due to the right attachment.

HYDRAC - Attachments for go-getters

Innovation and ingenuity characterise the constant development and improvement of HYDRAC snow ploughs and spreaders.

An "intelligent" cleaning bar has recently been developed for the ParaTec snow plough series. Feedback and suggestions from customers who use the ploughs on a daily basis have played a major role in this further development.

In detail this means:

• A second rubber strip is installed behind the standard scraper strip

• This optimally "cleans" the remaining snow or slush

• Minimises salt usage, as everything that is cleared in advance does not need to be de-iced.

• The cleaning bar is automatically moved into the clearing area of the plough, thus the entire clearing area is ploughed again

PE: What are the advantages of your front loaders and which tractors are they compatible with?
 

SP: The low tare weight is the absolute priority - so that front axle loads are largely maintained.

The HYDRAC front loader offers an outstanding modern design. With many features that support the daily work routine, such as the third oil circuit - with pressurised pressure couplable connections - or the hydraulic level adjustment of the implements, etc., the HYDRAC front loader is the ultimate everyday helper.

The fact that the steel hydraulic lines are integrated and always easily accessible, despite the tightly welded swing arm, is standard.

All the basic functions of a front loader, such as parallel guidance, Euro quick-change plate, implement level indicator, pressurisation system and much more, are standard. The controls are conveniently operated via the original cross lever on the tractor or optionally via a retrofitted cross lever. The greatest benefit in day-to-day work is the extremely simple coupling and uncoupling - as standard with just 1 dismounting or optionally upgraded with the AUTO-LOCK system, which allows convenient coupling and uncoupling from the cab WITHOUT dismounting from the tractor.

PE: What are your plans for next year and what products do you want to launch on the market in the future?
 

SP: The journey is clearly heading in the direction of ISOBUS to utilise the tractor's data landscape.
