Six in one go: Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes for Dumberger

Biberach an der Riss (Germany), 25 June 2020 – The construction company M. Dumberger Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG has ordered six Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes in company colours as well as a LiTRAX high-speed axle at the same time. The first three cranes were delivered in the last couple of weeks. One of these is already in operation at a large housing construction project in Langweid am Lech.

The Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting crane, with a radius of 55 metres and an eight-tonne maximum lifting capacity, is the largest fast-erecting crane on the market. Its flexibility and performance data will be of great advantage during the construction of 34 apartments, spread out over four buildings, in Langweid am Lech near Augsburg. The 125 K will be in use throughout the construction project for tasks such as the lifting of prefabricated concrete parts weighing up to eight tonnes. The 125 K is being supported by an 81 K.

Dumberger is the developer and main contractor of the project. In several construction phases, ten multi-occupancy buildings with 89 apartments, 44 semi-detached houses and 18 terraced houses will be built on approximately 40,000 square metres of land. The so-called Langweid Village will continue to grow over the coming years. The four buildings being erected with the help of the 125 K are expected to be ready for occupancy at the beginning of next year.

The delivery of the first 125 K by Liebherr dealer Nagel Baumaschinen Augsburg GmbH was eagerly awaited by those working at the construction site. For them, it is the precision control system and high quality workmanship of the new cranes that matter, as well as their impressive reach and lifting capacity.

M. Dumberger Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1945 and is a family owned business, now in its third generation. Today, it employs around 170 people and is one of the largest construction companies in the Augsburg region. The company exclusively uses its own employees for construction work as well as its own machinery, such as the six Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes. These complement the existing fleet of Liebherr machinery perfectly: in addition to ten 81 Ks, Dumberger also owns two wheeled excavators (A924 and A918) an LTM 1070-4 mobile crane and an XPower wheel loader.
