  • Genie received six industry awards in 2025 recognizing its innovations in boom and scissor lifts and digital tools.

  • The S-85 XC FE hybrid and S-85 XC E electric boom lifts feature lithium-ion technology and a unique lithium-ion-powered AC generator, enhancing durability and reducing ownership costs.

  • New serial-number-specific QR codes provide quick digital access to manuals and parts via the Serial Hub platform, improving maintenance efficiency.

  • The next-generation GS Slab Scissor lifts introduce a curved linkage design that lowers weight and replacement costs while maintaining top performance.

Booms and scissor lift innovations plus smart digital tools deliver reduced service and improved durability, while lowering cost of ownership.

Genie won six awards in 2025 that demonstrate its commitment to innovations that deliver customer value. The awards from trade media and industry organizations recognize Genie for designing equipment that reduces service costs, and for integrating digital tools that make maintenance and ownership easier.

The S®-85 XC™ FE hybrid and S-85 XC E electric boom lifts were recognized during the Working at Height Awards, organized by IPAF and KHL, in the New Product category. The boom lifts feature lithium-ion technology, and they are the first electrified boom lifts in the industry to feature a lithium-ion-powered AC generator that’s welder-ready, delivering up to 12kW of power, an unmatched output for tools and welding applications.

“These boom lifts are a complete upgrade, with thoughtful engineering and more than 80 quality improvements with the goal of keeping our machine in the field longer with fewer service intervals,” said Dominik Damm, Genie Global Product Director-Booms. The redesigned components enhance durability, prevent rust, and reduce ownership costs by up to 15% on electric models and 6% on hybrid models.

Genie was also recognized for Technology Innovation as part of the Working at Height Awards for new, serial-number-specific QR codes that give equipment owners, operators, and service technicians faster access to manuals, parts ordering, and other critical information. When scanned with the camera on a smartphone or tablet, those QR codes provide quick access to digital information via the new Serial Hub digital platform, which can also be accessed through GenieLift.com and the myGenieLift.com mobile app.

The remaining awards were all for Genie’s next-generation GS™ Slab Scissor lift product line, which features a future-focused redesign that enhances quality, reduces ownership costs and improves service efficiency.

The most noticeable change with the new slab scissor lifts is the industry-leading curved linkage design. This departure from industry standard reduces machine weight, allowing Genie to use right-sized components — including batteries, drive motors and other electrical components — which have a lower replacement part cost. Genie benchmarked its new lifts against other machines to ensure industry-leading performance.

Genie’s new scissor lifts were recognized with the following awards:
